Pesach is a long holiday, and not every hour of it needs filling. On the upper floor of the Real Marina, a thousand square metres are given over to doing very little: a heated indoor pool with a bubbling water area, a sauna, a hammam, a gym — and, through the windows, the lagoon changing colour as the day moves on. Separate hours are scheduled for men and women throughout the program, so everyone can use the spa in comfort. Swim a few lengths before breakfast, or simply sit and watch the water.
The heart of the spa is its heated indoor pool, with a bubbling water area to sit in and let the jets do their work. The glazed wall runs the length of the hall, so you swim facing the Ria Formosa and the islands beyond it — a view that changes with the tide and the hour.
Throughout the program, the spa and its pool are scheduled in separate sessions for men and for women. The timetable is posted at the spa and included in your welcome pack on arrival, so you can plan your swim around the rest of the day.
